Sleep in a luxury treehouse

Costa Rica’s Finca Bellavista

{0 Comments}

Finca Bellavista is located off the Pan American highway several hours drive from the capital of San Jose – but you might as well have stumbled into a different planet. Inspired by an Ewok village, the Finca is the world’s first fully sustainable treehouse community, where owners and guests can spend the night among the leaves of a rainforest canopy. Conceived to be a working community whereby neighbours transport themselves around by zipline, there are five privately owned and entirely jawdropping treehouses already built and more on the way. It’s possible to rent one for the night, surrounded by jungle, perhaps overlooking a stunning waterfall.

Getting There :
Finca Bellavista is located on the Pacific coast near Piedras Blancas National Park, just 3 kilometers from the InterAmericana Highway, a 30-45 minutes drive to Rio Claro, Palmar Norte, Golfito and Ciudad Neilly. It is accessible by local bus, rental car, shuttle and private transfer.

Note from Robin :
The Finca is a community. Beyond the bucket list experience of sleeping in a jungle treehouse, you can go on fantastic hikes, swim in the gorgeous waterfall, watch for birds, and have fun with the ziplines. The treehouses are privately owned, so think of this a little like up-in-the Air B&B. Infused throughout the experience is a deep respect for the surrounding jungle.
